Welcome to my homepage! I am an applied empirical researcher with interests in labour and business economics. I use causal inference and machine learning methods to analyse experimental and nonexperimental data. I am particularly interested in heterogeneous effects and optimal allocation rules of public and private policies.
I am Professor of Applied Econometrics at the UniDistance Suisse in Brig/Valais and Affiliate of the Center for Research in Economics and Statistics (CREST), the University of Johannesburg, and the CESifo Network.
